I love this piece of art. It was created by Yan Nascimbene , the cover artist for my new middle-grade novel, Liar & Spy ( coming in August). I couldn't be happier. (Just to be very clear, this is NOT the book cover illustration. It's from another book, called A DAY IN SEPTEMBER. But I hope to post the cover very soon. . .)

Unlike 2010 and 2011, 2012 is a year IN WHICH I WILL ACTUALLY HAVE A NEW BOOK PUBLISHED (in August.). This book has a title, which is Liar & Spy . This book has a cover illustration, which I find very beautiful and can't wait to share. This book has a main character, whose name is Georges. (The S is silent.) I'm also going to WRITE a book this year. Don't ask me about that one yet. P.S. I took this photo from my window the other night.

Oik! I see that my blog fell asleep while I was running around during the holidays. WAKE UP, Blog! *Blog mumbles something and pulls the covers up over its head* Lazy. . . . going to make french toast to lure blog out of bed . . . .
