Australia!

Have I mentioned that I'm going to Australia in May?

I'm getting excited.

This is the just-published Australian edition of my first novel, FIRST LIGHT, sitting on the desk of Steph, the book's lovely Australian publicist. (I know she's lovely because we had lunch a few months ago in New York. You can also tell she's lovely because she wrote that cute post-it note, took the picture, and sent it to me.)

How cool! I spent a month in New Zealand a few years ago, and regret that I didn't extend the trip to make a (long) side trip to Australia. By the way, if you haven’t been to New Zealand, you might want to consider extending your Australia trip so that you can visit New Zealand. The 30 hours of travel time…each way…makes it the kind of thing you can’t just do next month. Have a great trip!

I love all your books and so does everyone in my homeroom and math science class. We have team things a lot and for book clubs so many people wanted to read first light they had to split into 3 groups! I can't wait to read your next book and I can't wait to hear about your trip! Have fun!

Hi, Rebecca,

I'm reading the ANZ edition of First Light at the moment (read the blurb in a bookshop and thought I must read this) and I am absolutely loving it. Unique and beautiful and intriguing.

Thank you,

Katia

Oh. My. GOSH! I LOVED When You Reach Me and I'm working on a project with my friends on it this week (for my LA class)!! I read this book in 4th grade but read it again in 6th for this project. I'd also just finished first light-both were amazing!! For our WYRM project, we are making wordles ( at wordle. net-they're really cool, check it out!) for each of the characters! Your books are fabulous!
