This is wonderful

This animated short makes me want to rethink how I think.  My 8th grader showed it to me last night and I immediately wanted to share it with everyone.

Amazing ... and it triggers my "cinema envy". How would you write a sequence like that? Moviemakers can come up with these brilliant mental associations, then just show them. Writing feels so different, so much more laborious. Or do I just need to read more poetry?
