This is kind of interesting. A video blogger named Ze Frank explains that,

"An EARTH SANDWICH is created when two slices of bread are simultaneously placed on opposite sides of the EARTH."

Well, okay. I can't argue with that. 

He challenged his viewers to create the first "Earth sandwich." (This has apparently now happened.) 

But the coolest thing about his site is the "FIND THE OPPOSITE" tool, which allows you to pinpoint the place on Earth that is opposite your own location.
