I'm sure you've heard writers whine about loneliness. I can't write near other people. In fact, I write best when I haven't even spoken to anyone else in a while (this is why I don't answer my phone in the morning). So the idea that all of that time alone writing a book leads to real people, to gatherings, and to cookies brings me great joy. . .
