Yan Nascimbene, Artist, 1949-2013

I first learned about the art of Yan Nascimbene when I was shown a sample for the cover of Liar & Spy. I loved it immediately, with my whole heart.

When I researched his work, I found images that stunned me with their beauty and emotion. He drew several worlds: the world we live in, the world of his own imagination, and the world as it has been imagined by others.

Mr. Nascimbene died on February 1st of this year. I'm grateful that he left us so much beauty. And inspiration.
